About the Course
Galen Hall Golf Club sits on the South Mountain above Wernersville, Pennsylvania, in Berks County. The course opened in 1912 and A.W. Tillinghast reworked it in 1917. It is a walk through golf history: the Moat Hole is the first island green in the United States, the 7th tumbles down a severe slope, and the creek guards the long 14th.
The course plays to a par 72 from four sets of tees, from the Blue at 6,291 yards (69.1 / 127) through the White at 5,870 (67.2 / 122) and the Gold at 5,269 to the Red at 4,910. Small, fast greens reward precision over length.
Galen Hall hosts weeknight leagues, charity scrambles and corporate outings, with the Pub and the event venue on site for the awards.
